The Aviation Wing of Marietta and Absolute Quality Interpreting Services, LLC (AQI) are partnering to host a Closed Captioned showing of the movie Top Gun. This unique opportunity will feature the classic film, starring Tom Cruise, on a large outdoor screen, adjacent to the nose of the Aviation Wing’s F-14 Tomcat. F-14s are the aircraft featured in the film and the Aviation Wing is home to the only F-14 on display in the State of Georgia.
Making this event even more remarkable, a retired F-14 pilot and Top Gun graduate, along with other former Navy personnel, will be onsite giving remarks and answering questions guests may have.
Absolute Quality Interpreting Services will provide American Sign Language interpreters for guided tours of the aircraft and conversations with the pilots. In addition, the movie will display closed captioning.
Visitors should bring their own chairs or blankets for parking lot seating. All seating will be on a first come basis. The movie will begin at sunset, but guests arriving early will have the opportunity to tour the Aviation Wing and learn more about the twelve aircraft on display. Food vendors will be onsite for dining needs.
