In March, C-SPAN announced that George Walton Comprehensive High School students Daniel Liu, Shruthi Maharajan, and Advaith Shivaram are honorable-mention winners in the network’s national 2020 StudentCam competition. Liu, Maharajan and Shivaram will receive $250 for the documentary, “Final Ruling: Criminal Justice Reform in the Modern Era.” Each year, C-SPAN partners with local cable television providers to invite middle and high school students to produce short documentaries about a subject of national importance.
