The Cobb Chamber of Commerce has selected Steve Hartman, chief technology officer for the Power Generation Services with GE Power & Water, as its 2015 chair-elect. He succeeds Kim Menefee of WellStar Health System. “I’m honored to take on this role and work with the outstanding Cobb Chamber of Commerce,” Hartman says. “It’s all about building a stronger community for the people who live, work and play in Cobb County with business engagement and growth as critical elements to foster economic development.”

Hartman is a 16-year veteran of GE and joined the company in 1998 as a reliability engineer. Since then, he has held a variety of engineering management roles in the company’s energy space. He was named to his current role in 2013.
