On Saturday, March 9, 2024, Keep Marietta Beautiful is hosting a paper shredding event from 9 am to noon at Elizabeth Porter Park. Participants can bring up to 5 copy paper sized boxes of documents.
If you have confidential or sensitive documents that need to be safely discarded, Keep Marietta Beautiful will allow you to watch your documents as they are shredded on site. Paper items only will be accepted.

- Checks
- Documents with personal or sensitive information

- Glossy paper
- Magazines

- Binders
- Books

Question – for shredding, do you take manila envelopes that have those small metal clasps on them? or stapled items?

Our understanding is that it is not necessary to remove staples before shredding.
