Marietta Wing N' Rock Fest

The Wing and Rock Festival features some of Atlanta’s best tasting chicken wings from metro Atlanta restaurants plus great live music. This event is one of the largest wing festival in the country. Parade magazine voted the event as one of the top 50 food festivals in the country.

This family friendly event has something for everyone. For the adults there are cold beverages to wash down those tasty wings plus a large arts and crafts area for those looking for some unique hand crafted items. Festival goers can savor tasty chicken wings from local experts who will all compete for several awards judged by local celebrities to determine who has the best tasting wings in the city. 1. I heard about this on the radio and would love to enter this wing eating contest. I was in a wing eating contest before and came in close 2nd place to the italian stallion (not Rocky but close). PLEASE let me know if there’s any possible way I can enter. And my birthday is on May 30th. This is my wish.

    • Hi Scott,
The event organizers tell us that although this event is sanctioned by the City of Marietta, it is not a city event and no outside food or beverages are allowed. There will be plenty of cold beer and hot wings available for purchase, and the entertainment is free.

    • Almost not wort it anymore….. When it was held in Marietta Square I was always able to bring a cooler. I have been buying 1 or 2 tables at front of event for a few years now, but since it moved to Woodstock they frown upon you bringing your own beverages. Not about to pay 4 times as much to have a few drinks I could get elsewhere.

  2. last year they allowed coolers…wonder why they aren’t this year. That stinks because the beers last year were really expensive

    • Hi Starlit,
Yes, there are several hotels in the area, including the historic Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Conference Center located at 500 Powder Springs St SW, Marietta, GA‎. Their phone number is (866) 920-8082 and they are less than a mile from the square.

    • Hi Laurie,

The 2010 lineup features music by G Force (kid band) from 1:15PM – 1:45PM, Blind Crush (Classic and New Rock Covers) from 2PM – 3:30PM, Velvet Runway (Classic and Glam Rock) from 4PM – 5:30PM, Burn (Classic Rock and Blues) from 6PM – 7:30PM, and The Sundogs (aka Rolling Beatles – Stones and Beatles Tribute) at 8PM – 9:30PM.

    • Hi Zepplinfan,

This article was written in 2010 when the event was held in Marietta Square. We updated the article in 2011 to let people know that it moved to Woodstock. To find specifics about parking, please contact the event organizers – USA Entertainment – at (404) 456-4655 or email events@usaentertainment.net.

  3. Don’t waste your time. Was there this weekend . The event sucks! Even the city of Woodstock seems to completely suck! Lame event….
