Health & Fitness Fair

This is a free public event to provide information, education and fun activities for parents, children and adults of all ages. There will be free health screenings, vendors with health & fitness products and services. The local elementary schools will be competing in a hula hoop & jump rope contest. The school that has the most parents attend will will a prize. There will be numerous health care professional speaking, Zumba, Karate & dance demonstrations. Healthy lifestyles, nutrition. Every thing you would like to see or hear will be available at this event.

Parents Palooza


Parents Palooza – the ultimate family event & parenting expo – is coming to the Cobb Galleria Centre on November 10 & 11, 2012. Parents Palooza is both an entertaining and educational celebration of parenthood that the entire family can enjoy. Parents Palooza is a fun-filled parenting expo bursting with information, products and services for parents of infants through teens. Whether it’s guidance on potty training, cell phone companies, summer camps or college applications, parents will connect with the resources that can make their most important job a lot easier.

Paired with the important educational component, Parents Palooza offers plenty of enjoyment for kids of all ages and the parents too. From bounce houses to a taste test alley, children can find hours of fun at Parents Palooza. Parents will have a chance to get in the act as well with aspects like chair massage stations, the family rock band competition and Minute to Win It challenges as well as plenty of great prizes, samples, and giveaways.

The weekend features a plethora of exhibitors, product and food samples, speaker forums, a social network parent’s networking area, inflatables, massage, family competitions, chorus performances, children’s ID kits and plenty of prizes.

Y Not Run! A fundraising event benefiting the YWCA.

Races:
Timed 10K and Untimed and Timed 5K. The 10K is a Peachtree qualifying race.
Skirt Run: A 1-mile run for men wearing skirts, which has been a crowd-pleaser in the past.

Born Again Blessings – Children’s Consignment Sale

The Born Again Blessings Children’s Consignment Sale features children’s and maternity clothes, shoes, toys, nursery items, baby equipment, furniture and more. First time moms can sign up for early shopping privileges.  The sale takes place each year in March for spring/summer clothing and August for fall/winter clothing.

The Salvation Army Parade of Witness & Concert

Officers and Soldiers from all around the Southern Territory will March from The Salvation Army Marietta Corps (202 Waterman Street) to Marietta Square. The march will be followed by a concert by The Salvation Army Territorial Brass Band.
