Transportation From the Atlanta Airport to Marietta:
Marietta is just 30 minutes north of the airport, and the fastest way to get to your Marietta destination is by car or Uber/Lyft/taxi/shuttle service available at the airport. If you would like to use public transportation, you can ride MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) from the airport to the Arts Center MARTA station, then take CobbLinc to the the Marietta Transfer Center, and then take a CobbLinc bus to your destination. Driving in and around Marietta:
Roads are very well marked and generally in excellent condition, and parking is plentiful and usually free, so driving/renting a car is often the best transportation option. Please note that rush hour traffic typically occurs on weekday mornings from 6:30am to 9:30am and on weekday afternoons from 4pm to 6:30pm. Rush hour typically starts earlier on Friday afternoons.
Marietta is bisected by Interstate 75 and the original Dixie Highway (now known as U.S. 41 or Cobb Parkway) which run north and south through the city. Both of these routes make it very easy to get to any part of Marietta. In addition, Interstate 85 is only 15 miles to the east and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is only 30 minutes to the south.
Parking in Marietta:
Parking is plentiful and often free at most restaurants, parks, shopping centers, and businesses. Marietta Square parking includes a variety of free and paid options. Parking in and around the Atlanta Braves stadium and The Battery Atlanta is a mix of free for up to 2 hours and paid parking, though all merchants will validate.
Marietta Taxis or Uber/Lyft:
It is rare to walk outside and flag a taxi, so if you plan to use this mode of transportation you will need to schedule one in advance or call and be prepared to wait for between 5 and 30 minutes. There are many taxi companies to choose from in Marietta. Depending on where you are going, you may have a flat rate or a variable rate based on mileage and time. Both Uber and Lyft are readily available in Marietta, and wait times vary by location, time/day, and event.

Marietta Public Transportation:
Marietta is serviced by CobbLinc bus lines. If you are interested in going to Atlanta or other areas near Marietta, but out of Cobb County, you can take CobbLinc to a transfer station at MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority). MARTA is the public transportation system for Metro Atlanta and uses both buses and trains. To transfer onto MARTA, you can take CobbLinc to a MARTA station and you are only charged once for the CobbLinc fare. There is no transfer fee when going from CobbLinc to MARTA. With CobbLinc, there is no service on some holidays, including New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Public Transportation from Marietta to the Atlanta Airport:
As noted above, you can take a CobbLinc bus to a transfer station where you can board a MARTA train. MARTA has a route that will then take you to the airport. Travel time using this method depends on your starting point, but on average could be around 2 hours. If you have time, this is the cheapest way to get to the Atlanta airport.
