Contrast Artisan Ales has officially opened its doors at 101 Church Street, becoming the first business to debut in the new Bridger Properties development near Marietta Square. This craft beer tasting room, founded by brewmaster Chase Medlin, offers rotating beers on tap, ranging from lagers and IPAs to sours and stouts. Contrast’s beer menu is ever-changing, with seasonal offerings like the Paisley strawberry lemon daiquiri sour, Crooked Smile Imperial Pumpkin Porter, and Fresh to Death IPA, made with fresh whole-cone Strata hops delivered overnight from the farm.
This new Marietta location opened on October 26, 2024 and is the second for Contrast, which first launched in Chamblee in 2018. Medlin, who has a background as a homebrewer and professional brewmaster, was drawn to Marietta for its vibrant community, artistic culture, and the intentional design of the Church Street development. While food offerings are currently limited to snacks and charcuterie boards, Medlin envisions collaboration with neighboring restaurants like Woody’s Cheesesteaks to create a more integrated dining experience.

La Carreta is a Latin kitchen, bar, and grocery that honors the rich traditions of Latin American cuisine. Established in 2010, the restaurant offers a unique fusion of Colombian and Mexican flavors, with many dishes prepared in a Josper charcoal oven, adding a modern twist while respecting traditional recipes.
